Synopsis
Sándor, single father of two boys is getting tested by fate when his youngest (11) pushes his girlfriend’s little girl (9) into an empty pool as a result of jealousy and an unsupervised game of tag. Being the only witness, Sándor lies and forces his kid to do the same, but the boy couldn’t cope with his conscience so he fights for the truth, even if it potentially destroys himself and his father.

Bálint D. Sós (b. 1977, Budapest) is a Hungarian writer-director. After earning a BA in Aesthetics from ELTE, he began directing commercials and co-founded the Kinopravda directors’ collective in 2014, gaining international recognition in advertising. Alongside his commercial work, he has consistently written short stories, two of which—Grand Prix and Creamy—were adapted into short films and screened at A-list international festivals. His debut feature film, Growing Down, is a bold exploration of parental roles, told in a distinctive and timeless style.
