Terms & Conditions

By submitting an accreditation application for the Malaysia International Film Festival (MIFFest), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before applying.

Eligibility:

Accreditation is open to filmmakers, press, media professionals, distributors, students, and other relevant industry professionals. MIFFest reserves the right to request additional documentation or evidence of professional status at any stage of the application process.

Application Review:

Submission of an application does not guarantee accreditation. All applications are reviewed by MIFFest, and approval is granted at the sole discretion of the MIFFest Organizing Committee. MIFFest reserves the right to accept or reject any application without explanation.

Information Accuracy:

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that all information provided in the application is accurate, complete, and up to date. MIFFest is not responsible for any delays or issues caused by incomplete or incorrect information.

Fees and Payment:

All application fees must be paid in full at the time of submission. Accreditation fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including rejection, withdrawal, or failure to attend the event. Duplicate payment refunds may be issued only upon verification and request within 7 days of the transaction.

Accreditation Usage:
Accreditation is personal, non-transferable, and only valid for the individual named in the application. Misuse of an accreditation badge (e.g., transfer, resale, or falsification) will result in immediate cancellation without refund and may lead to exclusion from current and future MIFFest events.

Event Access:
Accreditation grants access to designated areas, screenings, and events as specified by MIFFest. Access may vary depending on the type of accreditation approved. MIFFest reserves the right to change the program, venues, or access conditions at any time.

Personal Conduct:
All accredited individuals are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully during all festival-related events. MIFFest reserves the right to revoke accreditation and remove any individual found to be in violation of festival policies, codes of conduct, or any applicable laws.

Privacy:
By submitting an application, you agree to the collection and processing of your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Your data will be used solely for purposes related to your accreditation and festival participation.

Cancellation or Modification:
MIFFest reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the event or accreditation process due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., public health emergencies, government regulations). In such cases, MIFFest will communicate relevant updates through official channels.

Limitation and Liability:
MIFFest is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the accreditation process or the festival itself. Applicants assume all risks associated with travel and attendance.

Governing Law:

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
