Synopsis

Following the COVID-19 pandemic, founder of the Busan International Film Festival Kim Dong-ho obtains a camcorder for the first time in his eighty-five years of life. When he decides to make a documentary, the camera naturally points towards cinemas during the pandemic. With the number of cinemagoers plummeting during the changing times, the cinemas held so dear throughout history and memory disappear faster than ever. Curious about how old friends are doing in this situation, “Mr. Kim” — now almost ninety — travels around the world to chat. Through anecdotes, debates about the future of movies, and conversations about the nature of film, he finds wisdom, insight, and new paths forged in the midst of great change.
