Synopsis

Human beings are easily swayed when blessed with extraordinary gifts. Religion can become a mask for hypocrisy, hiding one’s true self. The real test of faith lies not in hardship, but in the blessings and comforts granted by God. One moment a person may appear righteous, the next consumed by darkness. But who is the real hypocrite? Adam is a respected Islamic healer known for curing those suffering from spiritual disturbances. Humble and well-loved by his village community, his life changes forever after a horrific accident kills his wife, Zulaikha. Devastated by grief and unable to accept God’s will, Adam begins losing faith, withdrawing from the mosque and isolating himself with his young son, Amir.

Meanwhile, Maria, a troubled young woman from the same village, suffers terrifying demonic disturbances that modern doctors diagnose as severe mental illness. After a violent possession shakes her family, the village Imam persuades Adam to help her. As Adam begins treating Maria, strange connections and disturbing secrets slowly emerge. With mysterious supernatural events closing in around them, Adam is forced to confront not only evil itself, but the fragile state of his own faith.
